Hi,
There appears to be an issue with the SkyGo plugin not working anymore on a Mac…
I have tried to do some debugging by enabling the webKitWindow so I could see what what happening in the background, and it appears as if the plugin cannot get passed the verification screen. The only way to get this to work is if I manually enter a the verification string eachtime I want to login via the WebKitWindow…

  • I don't think you can do sky specifically since sky are very restrictive of where you can watch your content - you can't use hdmi out or screen sharing to display sky go on a TV for example. You can get WiFi TV tuners which is basically Freeview channels and watch that or record programs but I think you need a Plex pass to do it.

Concurrent online viewing on 2 devices. Download selected Sky Go content in the UK only via Wi-Fi. Content depends on your Sky.

  1. Is there a way to get around this… Surely the SkyGo plugin is not ment to run with the WebKitWindow set to visible???
  2. Would it be possible for someone to find a fix for this or is it even possible to fix?
  3. It appears to be working with bugs on the Windows platform, so I am guessing there is a way to resolve it.
    I am running the latest version of PMS and PMC and have attempted to reinstall Silverlight multiple times, but this hasn’t resolved the issue.
    I am also happy to help test and send logs… Some of which can be found in the Channels forum under the SkyGo thread.
